Roadways & Infrastructure Construction

Roadways & Infrastructure Construction
Roadways & Infrastructure Construction

Three Decades of Roadway Excellence Across the South Puget Sound.

Roadway construction is some of the most demanding civil work in existence — and some of the most consequential. Roads serve as the connective tissue of every development, every facility, every community. When a road fails prematurely, settles unevenly, or drains poorly, it's not just a nuisance — it's a liability. OSG Dozing brings over three decades of roadway and infrastructure construction experience to projects across Thurston, Mason, Lewis, and Pierce Counties, and we build roads that perform under the Pacific Northwest's demanding soil and weather conditions, year after year.

We construct roadways and access corridors for the full spectrum of clients: municipalities, county agencies, private commercial developers, tribal governments, and Washington State agencies including the Department of Natural Resources. Our public-sector roadway experience means we understand the documentation, inspection protocols, and compliance requirements that come with state and local agency projects — WSDOT compliant documentation, third-party geotechnical coordination, and formal inspection hold points are standard parts of our workflow, not afterthoughts.

For private commercial and industrial developers, we build the access roads, internal circulation roadways, truck courts, and loading areas that make a facility operationally effective from day one. Our understanding of subgrade conditions across South Puget Sound — from the organic, compressible soils near tidal areas to the well-drained gravels in upland Thurston County sites — means we design subgrade solutions appropriate to your site rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach that will require costly repairs in three years.

Our full-depth reconstruction capability is particularly valuable for owners of older facilities or municipalities managing aging road infrastructure. We can remove existing failed pavement, assess and improve the subgrade, install new base course to specification, and prepare the surface for either asphalt paving or concrete flatwork. We coordinate with paving contractors and concrete subcontractors to ensure a seamless transition from our scope to theirs, and we maintain the scheduling discipline to keep that handoff on track.

We also install culverts, perform bridge approach construction, and manage the drainage infrastructure that keeps roadways functional during and after Pacific Northwest storm events. Poorly designed or installed roadway drainage is one of the leading causes of premature pavement failure and erosion damage in Western Washington — our crews are trained to get the grades, cross-slopes, and outfall systems right from the start.
